Encore une compilation qui pourrait être un nouvel album. Peter fait ses fonds de tiroir pour ressortir ses chansons utilisées dans des films. Il en manque bien sûr. Notamment Lovetown et Out Out qu’on aurait préféré à la place d’une nouvelle version de In Your Eyes…

Tracklist

A kind and steady heart can make a grey sky blue
And a task that seems impossible, is quite possible for you

A kind and steady heart, is sure to see you through
It may not seem like very much right now
It’ll do, it’ll do
When you find yourself in the middle of a storm
And you’re tired and cold and wet
And you’re looking for a place that’s cozy and warm
You’ll make it; you can never forget!

A kind and steady heart, can conquer doubt and fear
A little courage goes a long, long way
Gets you a little bit farther down the road each day
And before you know it, you’ll hear someone say
“That’ll do, Babe, that’ll do”

A kind and steady heart, is sure to see you through
A little courage goes a long, long way
Gets you a little bit farther down the road each day
And before you know it, you’ll hear someone say
“That’ll do, that’ll do, that’ll do, Babe, that’ll do

Did you think that your feet had been bound
By what gravity brings to the ground?
Did you feel you were tricked
By the future you picked?
Well, come on down

All these rules don’t apply
When you’re high in the sky
So come on down
Come on down

We’re coming down to the ground
There’s no better place to go
We’ve got snow up on the mountains
We’ve got rivers down below

We’re coming down to the ground
To hear the birds sing in the trees
And the land will be looked after
We send the seeds out in the breeze

Did you think you’d escaped from routine
By changing the script and the scene?
Despite all you made of it
You’re always afraid of the change

You’ve got a lot on your chest
Well, you can come as my guest
So come on down
Come on down

We’re coming down to the ground
There’s no better place to go
We’ve got snow up on the mountains
We’ve got rivers down below

We’re coming down to the ground
We’ll hear the birds sing in the trees
And the land will be looked after
We send the seeds out in the breeze

Like the fish in the ocean
We felt at home in the sea
We learned to live off the good land
We learned to climb up a tree

Then we got up on two legs
But we wanted to fly
Oh, when we messed up our homeland
And set sail for the sky

We’re coming down to the ground
There’s no better place to go
We’ve got snow upon the mountains
We got rivers down below

We’re coming down to the ground
We’ll hear the birds sing in the trees
And the land will be looked after
We send the seeds out in the breeze

We’re coming down
Comin’ down to earth
Like babies at birth
Comin’ down to earth
Redefine your priorities
These are extraordinary qualities

We’re coming down to the ground
There’s no better place to go
We’ve got snow upon the mountains
We’ve got rivers down below

We’re coming down to the ground
We’ll hear the birds sing in the trees
And the land will be looked after
We send the seeds out in the breeze

We’re coming down to the ground
There’s no better place to go
We’ve got snow upon the mountains
We’ve got rivers down below

We’re coming down to the ground
We’ll hear the birds sing in the trees
And the land will be looked after
We send the seeds out in the breeze

Redefine your priorities
These are extraordinary qualities
To find on earth

Comin’ down, comin’ down
Comin’ down, comin’ down
Comin’ down, comin’ down
Comin’ down, comin’ down

So then, up upon this high wall
Looking at the street lights
All spread out like a banquet
Why is this room so silent?
Only when I’m moving
No direction chosen
Rolling over emotion
Guess I’m your party man.
p p party man, p p partyman
I’m your party man

The book of love is long and boring
No one can lift the damn thing
It’s full of charts and facts and figures
And instructions for dancing

But I
I love it when you read to me
And you
You can read me anything

The book of love has music in it
In fact that’s where music comes from
Some of it is just transcendental
Some of it is just really dumb

But I
I love it when you sing to me
And you
You can sing me anything

The book of love is long and boring
And written very long ago
It’s full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
And things we’re all too young to know

But I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings

And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
You ought to give me wedding rings

Contenu d’accordéon

It’s not the place that I grew up in
It’s not the body I was born with
They’re not the trees that I once played in
That now surround us, us in a prison

Every bird was born with feathers
Every wing was shaped to fly
We spin around ’til we stop all motion
Let the heart move ’til the earth can touch the sky

In my hunger deep in my bones
In a thousand deserted homes
Any time that you feel alone
I will find you where you are
Go where you are

In a garden behind the wall
Spinning coins and I watch them fall
Though I’ve lost all the wherewithal
I will find you where you are
Go where you are

I sing like the earth as you dance on my skin
Then memories release the future
So this living can begin

Not in the ship that charts the heavens
Not in the words that fall like hail stones
Not in the light you disappear in
I’ll be the mirror you can see through

Every bird was born with feathers
Every wing was shaped to fly
We spin around ’til we stop all motion
Let the heart move until the earth can touch the sky

In all the lines that churned your face
In a stretch that can open space
Any place that you leave a trace
I will find you where you are
Go where you are

In a city inside the wall
Where you watched all the embers fall
Though we’ve lost all the wherewithal
I will found you where you are

Go where you build this nest with lot of feathers
Build a world to bring back life
Build the place that holds the future
Can hold the future
For all who come when we are gone
When we are gonespeeee

Walk through the fire
Walk through the fire (walk through the fire)
Through the dust and ashes
While the building crashes
Walk through the flame (walk through the fire)
No trace of indecision
Lion keep his vision clear

Moving out
Across the water
The wet leaves quiver in the heat
Darkness heavy on my shoulder
Smell the smoke, sickly sweet
The body’s weak, the shadow’s strong

Walk through the fire (walk through the fire)
Through the dust and ashes
While the building crashes
Walk through the flame (walk through the fire)
Lion show no sign of fear

Walk through the fire (walk through the fire)
Through the dust and ashes
While the building crashes
Walk through the flame (walk through the fire)
No time for doubt or caution
Taken by the strong emotion
Walk through the fire (walk through the fire)
No trace of indecision
Lion hold his vision clear

(Walk, walk, walk)

Walk through the fire (walk through the fire)
Walking in the path of angel
Walk on down below, walk on down below
Walk on down below, walk on down below

Bol
Bol
Bol ke sach zinda hai
Bol

In terms of time’s heavy storm
Say what you have to say
History holds you time is blown
Say what you have to say

In a silence so strong that it makes you its own
Stand up and speak out

Let the crows call
Let the stones fall
Say what you have to say
Bol zubaan ab tak teri hai

When those rocks break
(Tera sutawaan)
When the dreams break
(Jism hai tera)
Let the words call from within
From within

It can come to strange you
Come to mould and change you
Let the words flow from your lips
Speak your truth now
It’s the only way out
You can be what you can be
Say what you have to say
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere
Bol ke lab azaad hai tere

Aazad hai tere
Wanna drag it and you are rattling inside
(Bol Zubaan ab tak teri hai)
Say what you have to say
(bol)
As so in life you can no longer hide
Say what you have to say
(bol)
Abandon your fear and you bring back your pride
(Aadam)
Stand up, speak out
Aadam bol
Aadam bol
Aaadam

(Tera sutwaan jism hai tera)
Let the crows call
(Tera sutwaan jism hai tera)
Let the stones fall
(Bol ke jaan ab tak teri hai)
Say what you have to say
(Bol ke jaan ab tak teri hai)
(Bol)
You speak your truth now
(Bol)
Its the only way out
(Bol ke lab aazad hai tere)
Let the words flow out of you
(Bol Zubaan ab tak teri hai)
Stand up, speak out
Bol ke sach zinda hai
I dream of birds, birds without wings
Children who grew up to be dangerous things
I was known as the postman, I worked through the night
I made my deliveries sink out of sight

We would wrap them, wrap them up
Anything to shut them up
Had to stitch them, stitch them up
See how they fly
See how they fly

We’d hold them in the center ’till we were all done
We’d turn up the music and have some fun
You’re on your way out, that’s what they were told
And we’d mock them and drug them, ’till our stupor took its hold

We would wrap them, wrap them up
Anything to shut them up
Had to stitch them, stitch them up
See how they fly
See how they fly

Fly out low, some way offshore
The sacking covers up their heads
Don’t want to look into their eyes
As I push them through the open door

Grosse déception à l’écoute de ce disque. Des nouvelles chansons très peu inspirées, des ré-enregistrements qui passent à côté, donc une version interminablement mauvaise de All I Need Is A Miracle. Pas de bol…

C’est un peu le gadin après le précédent album. Cet album n’apporte rien de nouveau… Dommage.

Tracklist

I don’t wanna live without living
I don’t wanna wear a disguise
I don’t wanna keep on pretending
Just living a lie
Every day the pressure is building
Every night I’m howling at the moon
Feeling like the wolves are just closing in
What can I do?

So let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
If I don’t try, I will never know
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how far I can go

None of us is born to be prisoners
But some of us end up in a cell
What if we were born to be a witness
Living is the only way to tell

So let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
If I don’t try, I will never know
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how far I can go

And let me dream, let me dream, let me dream
I can be who I wanna be
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how high I can go

Funny thing is
Make a wish and
Hope it counts for something
Standing here
And I’m looking down
Not afraid to fall

So let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
If I don’t try, I will never know
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how far I can go

And let me dream, let me dream, let me dream
I can be who I wanna be
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how high I can go

So let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
If I don’t try, I will never know
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how far I can go

And let me dream, let me dream, let me dream
I can be who I wanna be
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how high I can go

So let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
If I don’t try, I will never know
let me fly, let me fly, oh, let me fly
See how far I can go

And let me dream, let me dream, let me dream
I can be who I wanna be

Are you ready?
To put your heart on the line
To tell the world that you’re mine
To love me all of the time

Wiser and older
I thought it was over
But I’m haunted again by you

Stronger and deeper
I’m still a believer
No, I never got over you

Over the waves and across the years
I’ve dealt with my demons and faced my fears
But, there’s only one thing I need to know

Are you ready?
To put your heart on the line
To tell the world that you’re mine
To love me all of the time

Are you ready?
To stand with me when it counts
Let go of all your doubts
Love me all of the time

When I was younger
I let you go under
And I never forgave myself

All of the time I was on the run
I’m back here to finish what I’ve begun
Now there’s only one thing I need to know

Are you ready?
To put your heart on the line
To tell the world that you’re mine
To love me all of the time

Are you ready?
To stand with me when it counts
Let go of all your doubts
Love me all of the time

Can you trust in what I say?
Step into a brand new day
New day

Tell me, are you ready?
To put your heart on the line
To tell me, are you ready?
Love me all of the time

Tell me, are you ready?
To stand with me when it counts
Let go of all your doubts
Love me all of the time

I put my heart on the line
Tell me, are you ready?
To put your heart on the line
To tell the world that you’re mine
You got to tell the world you’re mine
Love me all of the time
Tell them, tell them

Are you ready?
Tell them, tell them, are you ready?
I’m ready
I’m so ready
Hey, hey, hey (Love me all of the time)
Tell me, are you ready?
Take a look around you
I really think you should
At all the things you’ve broken
Just because you could

Think of all the people
You know who they are
Ya took them all for granted
And gave them only scars

And I wonder
When you are here beside me
And I hold you
I know that you don’t love me
Do you wonder
If we’re so good together
Why ya do
The things you do
To me and to you?

Every single moment
Every single day
Ya never seem to tire
Of all the games you play

I doubt you’ve even noticed
The world is movin’ on
It’s too late for salvation
Your power’s all but gone

And I wonder
When you are here beside me
And I hold you, yeah
I know that you don’t love me
Do you wonder
If we’re so good together
Why you do
The things you do
To me and to you?

Are you blind to what I’m sayin’?
It’s not too late for changing
I look into the future
And this is what I fear
The smile that made me love you
Has all but disappeared
But who am I to tell you?
Who am I to say?
I’ve nothin’ left to offer
Just hope ya find your way

And I wonder
Well, you are here beside me
And I hold you
I know that you don’t love me
Do you wonder
If we’re so good together
Why ya do
The things ya do
Why ya do
The things ya do
To me and to you?

Yeah, yeah

Do you ever wonder
Somewhere in your mind
Why ya do the things ya do

Do you ever wonder

The things ya do

Oh yeah, love

Do you ever wonder?
Are there days when you’re feeling
Days when you’re feeling down?
And you’re looking for hope but
How can that be found?
Are there nights when you’re falling
Nights when you’re falling fast?
Can you take a hold of my hand
Let go of the past?
Can I take a hold of your heart?
That’s all I ask

And if you say yeah
You give it one more chance
You see, the best is yet to come
And if you say yeah
The future’s in your hands
The best is yet to come

If there’re times you’re the winner
Times you’re the loser too
Are there times when you question
Everything you knew?
I don’t want you to give up
Don’t you give up now
Gotta keep your feet on the ground
And your head in the clouds
Can you just be true to yourself
And make me proud?
And if you say yeah
You give it one more chance
The best is yet to come
And if you say yeah
The future’s in your hands
The best is yet to come

Why are you giving up the ghost
This is the time I need you most
I only wanna see you standing tall
Life is a circle at your feet
Always perfected and so sweet

And if you say yeah
You give it one more chance
You see, the best is yet to come
And if you say yeah
The future’s in your hands
The best is yet to come
And if you say yeah
You give it one more chance
The best is yet to come
And if you say yeah
The future’s in your hands
The best is yet to come
That’s all I ask
The best is yet to come
The future’s in your hands
The best is yet to come
That’s what I ask
The best is yet to come
Now the tears are falling
But not again
Do not fear the darkness
It has to end

If we hold together
Be as one
I know finally
We’ll see the sun

I’m not trying to save the world
Only wanna make us better
Cause we all want to feel that our lives have a reason
And you’ve given me hope something I can believe in

Sorrow is no stranger
Not to me
He has often brought me
To my knees

But if we stand together
In the light
I can promise
You will be alright

I’m not trying save the world
Only wanna make us better
I’m not trying to save the world
I know nothing lasts forever
Cause we all want to feel that our lives have a reason
And you’ve given me hope something I can believe in

Ooh
Ooh, yeah

I’m not trying to save the world
Only wanna make us better
I’m not trying to save the world
I know nothing lasts forever

I’m not trying to save the world
(‘Cause we all want to feel that our lives have a reason)
Only wanna make us better
(And you’ve given me hope something I can believe in)
I’m not trying to save the world
(‘Cause we all want to feel that our lives have a reason)
I know nothing lasts forever
(And you’ve given me hope something I can believe in)

I’m not trying to save
You believe me?
Save the world baby, no
I was such a lucky man
Before I turned the tables
You were everything to me
Now I’m like a fallen angel

Made a promise to myself
I would love nobody else
But I don’t know what came over me
No, I don’t know what came over me

I was such a fool
All I ever cared about was you
Always you, always you

It was only for a night
A moment in madness
But I’ve paid a heavy price
For these endless days of sadness

Made a promise to myself
That I wouldn’t love nobody else
But I don’t know what came over me
No, I don’t know what came over me
I was such a fool
All I ever cared about was you
Always you, always you
Made a promise to myself
I would love nobody else
But I don’t know what came over me
No, I don’t know what came over me
But I don’t know what came over me
No, I don’t know what came over me
But I don’t know what came over me
No, I don’t know what came over me
I don’t know what came over me
Friend of mine
Friend of mine
Told me about a girl that I left behind
Said she was living on her own
And I said she needed to go home
So I tried to find

Tried to find
But she’s elusive at the best of times
Best of times
I tried to get inside her head
I tried to think of what I said

Yeah I was looking through the cold dark nights
But there was nothing to find
I asked a stranger if he knew your name
Said you nearly lost your mind

Looking for the high life
‘Cause it’s over now
Said that you could see it
In her eyes
Looking for the high life
Wasn’t working out
But she’ll be looking for the rest of her life
There she goes
There she goes
It’s too late but I should have told
Should have told
That she don’t need to be like them
To be loved in the end

So she went off into the cold dark night
But there was nothing find
I should have held close for one last time
So she wouldn’t lose her mind

Looking for the high life
‘Cause it’s over now
Said that you could see it
In her eyes
Looking for the high life
Wasn’t working out
But she’ll be looking for the rest of her life

Looking for the high life
‘Cause it’s over now
Said that you could see it
In her eyes
Looking for the high life
Wasn’t working out
But she’ll be looking for the rest of her life
Yeah, she’ll be looking for the rest of her life
Said she’ll be looking for the rest of her life
Her life

I read the words today
The words you’d never say, not ever to my face
Just a simple page
That I found by mistake, now nothing will be the same, oh no

Don’t know why I never saw it in your eyes
All this time you were a master of disguise
It was just a simple letter
That I never will forget
Now things will never
Now things will never be the same
Never be the same
No, no

A simple twist of fate
If I had closed the drawer into it
But it’s too late
I’m wakin’ from a dream
What else remains unseen, I wonder
Will I never know?

Don’t know why I never saw it in your eyes
All this time you were a master of disguise
It was just a simple letter
That I never will forget
Now things will never
Now things will never be the same
Never be the same
No, no
Don’t know why I never saw it in your eyes
All this time you were a master of disguise
It was just a simple letter
That I never will forget
Now things will never
No things will never
Thing will never be the same
Never be the same
Never be the same
Never be the same
Never be the same
No never

It’s Monday mornin’ and she’s
Back on the train
It’s the same old empty faces
Again and again
It’s Friday evenin’ and the
Week is done
She used to just live for the moment
Go out and have fun
But she’s not out of love
She’s not out of hope and dreamin’
She’s not out of love, no
She’s still got so much to believe in

You gotta hold on
You gotta hold on
To the things in life that really matter
Friends to keep you strong
You gotta hold on
You gotta hold on
Just believe that life, the world kept right
Even when the world seems wrong

It’s Sunday mornin’ and she’s
Still laying in bed
She reads through the Sunday papers
But despite what she read
But she’s not out of love
Not out of hope and dreamin’
She’s not out of love, no
She’s still got so much to believe in
You gotta hold on
(Hold on)
You gotta hold on
(Hold on)
To the things in life that really matter
That keep you strong
You gotta hold on
You gotta hold on
Just believe that life, the world kept right
Even when the world seems wrong

Everything that you have ever loved
Is all that matters in the end
The only thing that you can count on
Is the love of a friend

Oh yeah
Not out of love
No, you still got so much
(Not out of love)
Not out of love
(Not out of hope and dreamin’)
Not out of hope and dreamin’
(Not out of love)
Not out of love
Still got so much to believe in
Not out of love
(Not out of hope and dreamin’)
Not out (Not out of love)
Still got so much (Still got so much to believe in)
Know you can make it
Hold on
Now everything is wrong
How can I carry on?
You broke a part of me
I doubt if you can see

And even now I’m hoping it wasn’t all in vain
‘Cause all that I have left is the pain

There’s got to be some love left over
‘Cause I meant everything that I told ya
There’s got to be some time to mend it
Wasn’t like I ever wanted to end it
There’s got to be some love

I packed my life away
Just for a rainy day
Still weathering the storm
How can I carry on?

And even though I’m hopin’, maybe time can heal
You will never feel what I feel
There’s got to be some love left over
‘Cause I meant everything that I told ya
There’s got to be some time to mend it
A broken heart just can’t keep on pretendin’
There’s got to be some love

You’re lookin’ for the movers and shakers
But how you find the good from the great
If I have only one demand, it’s that you try to understand
Life is not worth living this way

There’s got to be some love left over
‘Cause I meant everything that I told ya
There’s got to be some time to mend it
Wasn’t like I ever wanted to end it

There’s got to be some love left over
‘Cause I meant everything that I told ya
There’s got to be some time to mend it
A broken heart just can’t go on pretendin’

There’s got to be some love
Oh, there’s got to be some love
Sweet love
No one can say
You didn’t want to fly
You went your own way
And weren’t afraid to try
Now you feel so alone
When your dreams aren’t always what they seem

You give all you got
Still get hurt
Still get torn in two
When the battle seems lost
I’ll be there
I’ll be there for you (There for you)
I’ll be there
I’ll be there for you

You’ve fallen from grace
And given up the fight
But you know life finds a way
When there’s no hope inside
And you’re not alone
When your dreams aren’t always what the seem
You give all you got
Still get hurt
Still get torn in two
When the battle seems lost
I’ll be there
I’ll be there for you (There for you)
I’ll be there
I’ll be there for you
Always
Always

Oh, when your dreams aren’t always what the seem
You give all you got
Still get hurt
Still get torn in two
When the battle seems lost
I’ll be there
I’ll be there

(You give all you got
Still get hurt
Still get torn in two
When the battle seems lost
I’ll be there
I’ll be there for you (There for you)
I’ll be there
I’ll be there for you
Traveled south to wash my sins away
But the devil laughed as he turned and sealed my fate
Oh let go of my soul, I never feel, I’m never on my own

Someone right behind haunts me to the bone

All I want is something
That I know I can believe in again
All I want is something
That I know I can believe in again
And I know that’s you
Hey

Gave my child a gun
To see what he could do
Shot them down
With the dirty shade of blue

All I want is something
That I know I can believe in again
All I want is something
That I know I can believe in again
Shine a light into the dark
Before it brings me to my knees
Oh give me your light
I need your light

Storms will rise
Rain will fall on you
River runs
Away from the truth

And all I want is something
That I know I can believe in again
All I want is something
That I know I can believe in again

Oh give me your light
I need your light
Oh baby

I just need something that I can believe in
All I need
All I need is something
I just need something, something

Deuxième album dans la même année, j’ai clairement moins accroché à celui-là. Peut-être parce qu’il est venu trop rapidement après Song For A Friend ?

Tracklist

Truth can be difficult to take and sometimes you should wait, before you speak
Before, saying what you feel or sharing your thoughts, truth or lie

I know you never meant to lose it, but something happened in the past, long ago
They never should have sent you roses, the flower never seems to last, so long, so long

The memory that’s haunting you will pass
Give it time, you’ll see
Trust in me

How much how much can you take
And how long can you wait, to be alive

I know you never meant to lose it, but something happened in the past, long ago
They never should have sent you roses, the flower never seems to last, so long, so long

See the most beautiful girl in the world
Staring straight at you, what to do

How long, how long will you wait
And how much can you take before you go
The suicide line

It’s a game game game game , it’s a game game game game, it’s a game game game game, it’s a game game game game

Please, do it not for me
You should know, it’ll abuse your soul
The truth is that i, i can’t seem I can’t seem to cry
I don’t believe all of it’s true
I transmit this call onto you

Yes there’s a million reasons why and no one ever knows you’ve tried, until it’s too late
Is it too late?
You got an awful lot of things to say and the problem is that nobody’s listening anyway, any day

See the most beautiful girl in the world
Staring straight at you, what to do

It’s a game game game game, it’s a game game game game, it’s a game game game game, it’s a game game game game

The suicide line

I see a light, shining on me, it’s fading
And I feel the life training out of me
And I’m a long way from home and I can’t sleep at night
I try but I can’t sleep.

I’m say stay til the end, but I don’t feel so good
A thousand times a day
And my hands are shaking, but I’m here for good
Don’t worry about me.

I won’t be leaving
I don’t need another morning
I’m taken heed, I hear the calling
I don’t want you to see me crawling
To the next life, next life, next life.

I’ve been forgiving
Make aware of my feeling, make well aware
In back and all directions, but I’m standing still
Waiting for my alibi.

I won’t be leaving
I don’t need another morning
I’m taken heed, I hear the calling
I don’t want you to see me crawling
To the next life, next life, next life.

The snow lies on Tenessee mountains

dark nights, happen too soon

blue skies are a distant memory

and I’ve got nowhere to hide, from you

Until the summer I will wait

until the summer I will wait

maybe my loss can be my gain, so I’ll wait for you

until the summer

I’m three times higher than the stars

trying to find out where you are

so I just hold on to this memory

all day long cause I

I can see and I can’t breathe, without it

Until the summer I will wait

until the summer I will wait

maybe my loss can be my gain, so I’ll wait for you

until the summer

Until the summer I will wait

until the summer I will wait

maybe my loss can be my gain, so I’ll wait for you

until the summer

I will wait, here each day for you, until

the cold and unapproachable know

what it is to feel

Forever and always, I’ll try

Forever and always, I’ll try

You and I are the same

cold and unapproachable and distant

and no one is to blame

it’s desire on the whole, that’s non existent

it’s no mystery at all

it’s obvious and as plain as can be

like the nose on your face

the more we try, the more we can survive, without it

one another

Forever and always, I’ll try (life can’t hide it)

Forever and always, I’ll try (you can’t disguise it)

cause this world belongs, to those who are strong

and stand to face it

and your enemy, will cease to be

you’re almost erase it

just worship the sun

Forever and always, I’ll try (life can’t hide it)

Forever and always, I’ll try (you can’t disguise it)

cause this world belongs, to those who are strong

and stand to face it

and your enemy, will cease to be

you’re almost erase it

just worship the sun

I forget
It’s all so vague
Time and distance
Makes me think of home
And it makes me wonder
Makes me think of home
I recall
These same four walls
I felt surrounded
Close my eyes
And thougth of light
Nowhere to run
I can’t forget
No time to explain
It’s all regret
No broken vows
No words left unsaid
No crying
No thoughts in your head
No fear in me
No blame no hurt
No walking away
No crying that’s absurd
It all seems so distant
Days grow longer
And it makes me wonder
Makes me think of home
It all seems so distant
Days grow longer
It makes me wonder
Makes me think of home

I bought a house in the highlands

I have a life and three children

I’d like to share my thoughts and feelings with you

if I may

Well I came here to get away from southern city life

I’ enough and started losing my whole appetite for life

decided one day, it’s time to walk away

never too late, to get up and make the day

I live in hope but don’t have time to make the most of it

One thing I’m sure of is that I will make some sacrifices

I guess I need a break, get up and face the day

shout out, I’ve had enough

I’m packing my bags and off

amen to that

amen (amen to that) x4

I promised myself never to say never

it’s hard to know just what the future holds

the life I had is floating down the river

I’m standing here waiting for the next boat

I wrote a thousand words explaining how I feel today

I’ll write a thousand more tomorrow and a thousand more the next day

and one day you’ll read the book, come in and have a look

at my whole sorry life

good luck goodbye goodnight

amen to  that

amen (amen to that) x12

You got something on your mind

and some things take a long time

an eternity of years

You sleep in the day time, come alive at night

with drugs and alcohol

feeling your blood

takes you on a journey

oh if only, you could escape, from this one

And forget it, it forgives you not

that’s all you’ve got

and you live in a way

think your invisible

but you’re not invisible, you see

Underline soul, underline pain, underline sin

understand why only you know where to begin

haven’t found hope heaven lone knows where to begin

a life worth living, is worth living

And so on reflection, you say

this is my world

and it’s my world, that I live in

So to anyone out there, who’s listening

you should hear me, not fear me

Underline soul, underline pain, underline sin

understand why only you know where to begin

haven’t found hope heaven lone knows where to begin

a life worth living, is worth living

Underline soul, underline pain, underline sin

Don’t wait (for me)

Don’t wait for me

so finally

a twisted thought

that can’t be bought

(And) you can’t understand

what makes my world

go round and round

just take my word.

Don’t wait for me

(I want you)

so endlessly

Don’t wait for me

(I want you now)

it’s not for me

(And) you can’t understand

it’s not for you

Don’t wait for me

so finally

a twisted thought

that can’t be bought

(And) you can’t understand

what makes my world

go round and round

just take my word.

Don’t wait for me

See the world
A different way, maybe
Philosophise
Boy genius the hope of mankind

The monsters underneath the bed
As spaceman spiff flies overhead
Is not enough

A time machine
A cardboard box
A stripy furball’s homework plot
The teacher’s joy

A tiger and a boy
Whose days are just packed with fun
When minds go out to play
It’s different every day

What no one sees
Is the invisible world is good
Where make believe
Is the place i would be if i could

But Susie is the girl for this
The waterbombs, the playing tricks

She beats them all
And Calvin with his best friend Hobbes
Just playing games forget the jobs
They’re not as fun

A tiger and a boy
Whose days are just packed with fun
When minds go out to play
It’s different every day

Little boy
With your soft and furry friend
He’s just a toy
But no one will ever guess

The secret life of unaccepted ones

carefully hidden from your view, buy you knew

it was a secret worth reflecting on

a life’s work in one place

that no one knows

I’d like to ride off the sunset

like a cowboy, like a cowboy

just disappear into the wild west

like a cowboy, like a cowboy

like a cowboy

I’d like to trust but it’s too dangerous

and I can’t risk anyone knowing about

I only wish there was place for us

to call home, call home

a loving home

I’d like to ride off the sunset

like a cowboy, like a cowboy

just disappear into the wild west

like a cowboy, like a cowboy

like a cowboy

Très très chouette. De belles chansons, une ambiance calme et plutôt acoustique et une très chouette reprise de Pink Floyd.

Tracklist

Alone in a bar in a old part of town
Facing the house where Anne Frank Lived
Rain hitting of the window pane
And dancing in the street like children
Memories of war seem long gone
Something bout the atmosphere
Felt like I was in an old movie somewhere
And over on the shelf lay an old book

Looked like it had been there for ages
Stains on the pages
Parts all rewritten and some pages missing
The book had clearly been read
Many times before

Slipped it inside my man bag
Not really sure if he’d happened to see it
I tried to look away when the bar man looked at me

I guess he had seen that before
And simply ignored it
Laugh on the inside
As I tried to hide it
The book mark was worn at the edge
I guess this book had been read
Many times

Looked like it had been there for ages
Stains on the pages
Parts all rewritten and some pages missing
The book had clearly been read
Many times before

I don’t think about you much these days
It’s over twenty years now, since we went separate ways
I hope you’ve found some place to graze
And someone who’s a slave, to your every need
And over my dead body I’ll see you again
Pretending we were friends
Over my dead body, looking down on me
Pretending to grieve

All That time you knew it, something had to give
Struggling to live, facing up to it
You had your chance and blew it
You threw it away
And who would have thought it
You had the whole thing figured

And you living with regrets
Smoking cigarettes and staring into space
And asking where it all went wrong
And why am I alone
Saying God what have I done, so wrong

Too much, no forgiveness and all that monkey business
What is done is done
Over my dead body
You might think it funny

At the time you knew it, all the world’s a stage
And you were getting laid and calling everybody baby
You had your chance but screw it, you threw it away
And who would have thought it
You had the whole thing figured

All That time you knew it, something had to give
Struggling to live, facing up to it
You had your chance and blew it
You threw it away
And who would have thought it
You had the whole thing figured

So, here we are back at the atart
One angry and one slightly scarred
And one on the outside, asking why ?
Why? A good question, I don’t know
I hear it’s offfen, I Live in hope
That one day you’ll hear what I say

Cause when you’re down and out, there’s no one to help
You just have to sit there feeling sorry for yourself
And the rhyme and reason should be clear, but it ain’t
But in the cold day of light
You won’t see me

Fire, it always burns brightly at night
It’s burning inside you, that’s why
You cannot sleep
Or greet the day
And every day seems like the last one
And it ain’t too much fun
Can’t you learn
Learn to forgive and forget

Don’t you think it’s foolish to burn all of the bridges?
Don’t you have a better plan that’s based on forgiveness
I guess the weight you carry on your shoulder’s today
Will ease given time
Well that wish is mine

Don’t you think it’s foolish to burn all of the bridges?
Don’t you have a better plan that’s based on forgiveness
I guess the weight you carry on your shoulder’s today
Will ease given time
Well that wish is mine

If you look over there, that’s where I was born
And if you close you eyes and visualise,
you’ll see me kick a football down the road
I had a happy childhood, I always loved to dance
And all the boys would make a fool out of me
But the girls would take a chance
And it all feels like yesterday
It’s amazing how the time just drift away
I love sea air

If you look over there, that’s where my old ma worked
Every day at 5 am she’d get up
So that she could take care of us
There was never a day going by
Where we could not rely on our old mam
i can’t imagine life wothout her,
I can’t imagine now
She made everything perfect
She was just the best mam in the world
Don’t you love sea air

Oh oh, oh oh oh

If you look over there, that’s where i will die
I’ll take this old chair of mine and drive into the sea
And all the fishes they will laugh at me
And seagulls they will snap at me
But I , aye, I will find my peace again
Oh I love the sea air
Oh oh, oh oh oh
Oh I love the sea air

Only the lonely, know how i feel today
Crying, I’m dying, deep down within my soul
Now when I look at me, just can’t see myself anymore
How long is too long
I’ll never know for sure

Lord there must be something
Must be something more than this
I don’t think that I can take it anymore
Oh no

Careful, it’s loaded
You’ll cause the crime of the century
And I will expose it
If you hang around and wait for me
Cause I’m just a man, no more or no less
And I tried my best but failed it seems
And only the lonely know how I feel today

Lord there must be something
Must be something more than this
I don’t think that I can take it anymore
Oh no

Is there no way out of this
This is no way to live
I fight everyone, I fight on my own
Fight for myself, I’m helpless

Lord there must be something
Must be something more than this
I don’t think that I can take it anymore
Oh no

Only the lonely, know how i feel today

If you find the will then I’ll find the way
Cause those things you need are never too far away
For some it’s too tough, for others it’s too late
I don’t want to see you making that mistake

You have your feet on solemn ground, but know that you’ll be fine
Cause I won’t let those demons get to you
I’ll help you when you’re low and lift you from the ground
And hold you really close until you calm down

Cause sometimes what you need is not so far away
Even if right now it doesn’t seem that way
So while you’re pacing up and down and talking to yourself
Do a little dance to see if that helps

It’s fun, to laugh, smile a little , it will pass
There’s no shame, to feel afraid
The fear will fade away, just like yesterday

And look at your own self, as someone who’s beyond help
I used to feel that same way
And don’t analyse the bad points and hear them though the loud noise
In your head

Oh oh oh, oh oh oh yeah

And while you’re pacing up and down and talking to yourself
Do a little dance to see if that helps

It’s fun, to laugh, smile a little , it will pass
And say no, to it all
And somehow you just take control

And look at your own self, as someone who’s beyond help
And alone
And don’t analyse the bad points
Remember that the good things
Only come to those, who fight to win the day

Ah ha, yeah yeah

A thousand years of silence is what i need
Let it be
Slipping, sliding, never really saying what you mean
just echoing

A picture paints a thousand words or more
You always paint a picture to ignore
The more you say, the more I think
Who on earth is listening to you
It isn’t me

Reeling, writhing
All of this bad timing, don’t you see
Let it be
Backseat driving
trying to ease my mind and get some peace
I’d give anything for this

You see the pained look on my face
The darkness round my eyes from stress and strain
I say again
Take a break to stop and think
Be hero or be heroine but please
Let it be

A picture paints a thousand words or more
You always paint a picture to ignore
The more you say, the more I think
Who on earth is listening to you
It isn’t me

It isn’t me

Trying to read the signs
Don’t you know your own mind
Just live each day to day
As you were
Do just as you please
Take some time to grieve

It’s a lie
I hope you see it is
There’s a line , they say you never cross it
They see you like
Parallel souls, that never seem to meet

You were made this way
Unique one and only
Shining like a light
In the mist

More than just a glow
omni parent, ever knowing
You broke the mold

Is that why, you olways fail to see it
There’s a line , they say you never cross it
You’re not alone
Parallel souls, that never seem to meet

Hey I
i know you know so don’t say that you don’t
Why aye, at first you said you see it now you don’t
Cries, will go unheard unless you save a life
Nothing will seem right
It’s a suprise to you\i see this

Parallel Souls that never seem to meet
Parallel Souls that never seem to meet
Parallel Souls that never seem to meet
Parallel Souls that

Li da di , li da day, li da di, yeah yeah

Am i little too young to be waiting up all night?
I should be out having fun and getting home before the sunrise
What you’d expect me to say , when this is how you behave
It happens time and time again
I’m not about to become just another one of your tried and failed

It might seem like I am telling you no
Sometime you gotta know which way the wind blows
Then brace yourself, for the storm

Li da di , li da day, li da di, yeah yeah
Ah ah ah
yeah yeah

Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah

Li da di , li da day, li da di, yeah yeah

You might think that I’m saying all this, it don’t mean anything
it’s just a shot across the bow
But from this moment on I’m not going to be a you tried and failed

Li da di , li da day, li da di, yeah yeah
Ah ah ah
yeah yeah

Ah ah ah
Ah ah ah

Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun

Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut

There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before times took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The nights of wonder

Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide

At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world

Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There’s a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we’ve been so many times

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river

Forever and ever

J’ai cet album, et foi d’Administrateur-éminent-tout-plein, je m’en vais vous en parler sous peu !

Tracklist

Real life isn’t always what you want
Isn’t always what you need
The fear I express in what I write
In such a way as to believe it
I hope you know I mean it when I say take it slow
Why? cause you need to feel it in your soul
So take it slow man
Sometimes in a different state of mind
I seem to feel things more
It’s no lie, that given space and time
All the pieces fall, into place
I hope you know I mean it when I say take it slow
Why? cause you need to feel it in your soul
Take it slow
You’ll have everything you want
Real life feeling
All you want, all you need
Freedom
I hope you know I mean it when I say take it slow
Why? cause you need to feel it in your soul
So take it slow

The sun is shining through the trees, I’m gazing at the sky
Not long ago the winter freeze was taking its toll on me
And there are people all around me, struggling to make ends meet
While those who are responsible are living down on easy street
They didn’t cause it, we only said they did
They got it wrong and we have to pay for it
They sold a lie and then got away with it
Cause it’s easier that way
Easier that way
If there’s justice in the world I guess
It must be hard to see
We should focus on togetherness
It’s the only way to change things
It’s not easy staying faithful
To hold on to belief
When your whole damn world’s been stolen and you’re trying to catch the thief
They didn’t cause it we only said they did
They got it wrong and we have to pay for it
They sold a lie and then got away with it
Cause it’s easier that way, easier that way
Why in the world do our leaders turn away from it
Knowing full well that we all need a cure for it
Time and again the poor people pay for it
Cause its easier that way, easier that way
Ok let’s take a moment to reflect
They didn’t cause it, we only said they did
They got it wrong and we have to pay for it
They sold a lie and then got away with it
Why in the world do our leaders turn away from it
Knowing full well that we all need a cure for it
Time and again the poor people pay for it
Cause its easier that way
Easier that way
Could you turn it off for a second?
Chasing rainbows, grieving angels
Timeless moments of broken silence
I’ve been on the road so long
I keep a picture of you here, inside
No horizon, forgets me, forgets me
Follow the lie
What’s the use of worrying about it
You always have a song to sing
Somewhere that your hopes belong and fears don’t win
They can never win
Focus on the life you have
Walking that fine line between what’s good and bad
Trying to find the courage and learn to be still
Learn to be still
Chasing rainbows, no surprises
Just looking out and hoping for
Someone who’s in need of love
Keeping your hopes alive
Long before it is too late
Follow the lie
What’s the use of worrying about it
You always have a song to sing
Somewhere that your hopes belong and fears don’t win
They can never win
Focus on the life you have
Walking that fine line between what’s good and bad
Trying to find the courage and learn to be still
Learn to be still
Chasing rainbows
No surprises

For some unknown reason
I’ve been shouting in my sleep
Losing concentration
And I’m shaking like a leaf
Harbouring feelings of
Not being bold enough
I hope that I can find the strength
To get from underneath
This emotion???
For some unknown reason
I’ve been shouting in my sleep
Losing concentration
And I’m shaking like a leaf
Harbouring feelings of
Not being bold enough
I hope that I can find the strength
To get from underneath
This emotion

Lately, you’ve seen the best of me
Maybe, i’ve nothing left to give
Time just takes it’s toll
Life tells you to go
Love it fades away
Why? it’s hard to say
Don’t see it as the end it’s the start of something new
If a feeling lies within
Then Keep it close to you
Allow yourself to be and go at your own place
Be Patient and be true and wait for better days
Sorry, if i don’t share regret
I don’t feel it’s all been meaningless
People come and go
Feelings fade and grow
Don’t see it as the end it’s the start of something new
If a feeling lies within
Then Keep it close to you
Allow yourself to be and go at your own place
Be Patient and be true and wait for better days

What’s the use of worrying, won’t change a thing

that look of anxiety, when the door bell rings

time and time again you say, you know better

one things that your friends all claim, to the letter

she don’t feel so loved

and the longer you wait the worse it becomes

she don’t feel so loved

and you feel like here’s nobody listening

and given time, any given place

you can feel that life is escaping you passing you bye

she don’t feel so loved

and you’re stuck in the middle

you’re not gonna waste your life, anymore

looking at the left and right, love or war

you really got me freaking out

hurting hating, your soul’s on fire

can’t put it out

she don’t feel so loved

and the longer you wait the worse it becomes

she don’t feel so loved

and you feel like here’s nobody listening

and given time, any given place

you can feel that life is escaping you passing you byes don’t feel so loved

and you’re stuck in the middle

maybe when he time comes, you’ll awaken

step outside yourself, looking in

you seem caught between the old and new

nobody can change things for you

like it or not, that’s just the way it is

don’t be taken for a fool

she don’t feel so loved

and the longer you wait the worse it becomes

she don’t feel so loved

and you feel like here’s nobody listening

and given time, any given place

you can feel that life is escaping you passing you byes don’t feel so loved

and you’re stuck in the middle

She sleeps alone to forget all
She hurts so much, in dreams she cries
She sleeps alone, her world has gone
Rhianne x3
You’ve got to belong again
She wanted more than he could give
She cries inside
But no one wants to know
Cause they all told her so
Rhianne x3
You’ve got to belong again
Life must go on
You’ll find your way in time
Don’t be afraid to feel alive
You’ve got to belong again
Rhianne x3
You’ve got to belong again

She was put on earth to complicate my life
To question the decision that i made
To be there where i feel alone at night
And when i wake
She knows every choice i make i make for her
And without a doubt it only makes things worse
When i ask her get no answer that means no
And that’s for sure
I’m aware that i can only go so far
And afraid to reach the point of no return
The reactions are instinctive and in live
With life resigned, what’s sure his mind
She’s a queen
She’s a queen
She’s a queen
She never tells me what been on her mind
I just look around to answers all the time
There’s a million different reasons and i try so hard to find them
Just because, she’s the one
She’s a queen, much more than a lady
She’s a queen, she will always be my baby
She’s a queen, there could never be another one
She’s a queen, always
Can’t imagine life without her
Since we met it just gets better
There could never be a way
I could ever just forget her
From the first day i would show
And it hasn’t change since then
My life was so unclear
And now it all makes sense again
I would struggle to find anyone
Who has any given reason
Why i shouldn’t feel the same
Why i shouldn’t keep believe in
There’s a million different reasons
And i try so hard to find them
Just because, she’s the one
She’s a queen, much more than a lady
She’s a queen, she will always be my baby
She’s a queen, there could never be another one
She’s a queen, always
Always, always, always, always

Whatever happened to, people you meet and never see again

is it the end or just the beginning

into a different life

making new mistakes always wondering

if a new life is something worth having

Now I got something new to understand

I’ve got something I can’t comprehend

I need someone who can help me out

it’s all so simple, let’s all shout it out

Whatever happened to, people you meet and never see again

is it the end or just the beginning

Whatever happened to, people you meet and never see again

is it the end or just the beginning

She masks her faith

hides it from the world

there’s too much at stake

she made that mistake before

the truth sets you free

but not in the world she sees

In love, in life I want to see it all, all for myself

No need for lies, it’s all I’m living for

just to be free

Reading the signs, but no one knows where or why

saying so long to the days, she needed an alibi

you can shoot me down in flames if you want

the decision is yours to make

I just see things differently

I feel it another way

In love, in life I want to see it all, all for myself

No need for lies, it’s all I’m living for

just to be free

Look and you’ll see it in my eyes, keeping my hopes alive

in truth I might be lonely all my life

but at least I’ll be free

Fight for freedom

In love, in life I want to see it all, all for myself

No need for lies, it’s all I’m living for

just to be free

She sold her life, a few times every night

and no use to complain, there was nowhere she could hide

the reason was the game

there’s no choice you have to play

and all you’re left with is your soul

It’s the life of someone, equal under god

it’s the life of someone, whether you like it or not

you don’t have to agree, cause there are two sides you and me

I’m not too proud to ask for help

for the life of someone else

To live, in shame, bout to know you’re not to blame

and your muted screams, cause the walls are closing in

it’s not some romantic tale, it’s a piece of living hell

you can wish, but never tell

It’s the life of someone, equal under god

it’s the life of someone, whether you like it or not

you don’t have to agree, cause there are two sides you and me

I’m not too proud to ask for help

for the life of someone else

To behold and to belong

to be faithful to all

for my love of everything

and my mama back home

if she could see me like this

she would die a thousand deaths

if there was something I could give

to make this change it

It’s the life of someone, equal under god

it’s the life of someone, whether you like it or not

you don’t have to agree, cause there are two sides you and me

I’m not too proud to ask for help

for the life of someone else

I know where hope belongs

placed in the window for observation

not in the back of someone’s head

in the past or buried with the dead

and the crime remains to be

giving up or losing faith in thee

trust yourself, believe in yourself

hold on to all you know true

life is yours to keep

blame uncertainty and hatred

no dreams are made of this

No dreams are made of this

look in my eyes, can’t you see it

no dreams are made of this

for better or for worse, I mean it

I’ve had regrets, handled the curse

stared at the face of defeat

been told it’s my fault every time and

you’re not my friend of mine, but

that enemy lies within

no day is too long, no words can’t become a song

I need some way to release

trust yourself, believe in yourself

never surrender

no dreams are made of this

No dreams are made of this

look in my eyes, can’t you see it

no dreams are made of this

for better or for worse, I mean it

no dreams are made of this

I want to believe you, really I do

but I don’t

It anyone asks you why

say it

My name is

My name is

My name is

don’t forget me, don’t forget me

My life is

my hopes are

My worlds not, all wrong

I’m still holding on

still holding on

not sure for how long

I hope for all time
