An Audience And Ray Wilson

Seb

5/5

Sublime !

Some things disappear inside, should I try to run away
If I could I would escape you
I won’t argue anymore, I have lost the will to be
Hope you don’t think I’m ungrateful
Why, why are you laughing
Is it something that I said
I don’t like this place at all, makes me wonder what I’m here for
Someone take this pain away
Dying to see another day
Close the curtains lock the door, left my note upon the stair
In hope you wouldn’t read it
Fake emotions in my head, everything I’ve seen and read
Can’t begin to find a reason
Why, why are you laughing
Is it something that I said
I don’t like this place at all, makes me wonder what I’m here for
Someone take this pain away
Dying to see another day
And I don’t want to be your friend, or pretend I can fit into
I’m incensed, I’m blown away
Dying to see another day
I don’t like this place at all, makes me wonder what I’m here for
Someone take this pain away
Dying to see another day
And I don’t want to be your friend, or pretend I can fit into
I’m incensed I’m blown away
Dying to see another day

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

Yes I found heaven and I can take you there
And I found a reason but you don’t care
So turn your back don’t look round close your eyes make no sound are you leaving?
Close the door like before turn around are you sure that you mean it?
And you can take another step along the way

Just keep your eyes on the road
That lies before you
Take advice from a fool
Who chose to ignore you
And choose the side of the fence that you sit and just keep crossing that bridge

Take it or leave it
The decision is yours now
Is it time to get even or time to just go now?

But as you’re breaking free you mean nothing to me just a memory
And the memories will fade just like tides drift away to the sea

Keep your eyes on the road that lies before you
Take advice from a fool
Who chose to ignore you
And choose the side of the fence that you sit
Just believe in it now
And walk away from the world you don’t fit
And just keep crossing that bridge.

Keep your eyes on the road that lies before you
Take advice from a fool
Who chose to ignore you
And choose the side of the fence that you sit
Just believe in it now
And walk away from the world you don’t fit
But just keep crossing that bridge

Yes I found Heaven

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord
I’ve been waiting for this moment, all my life, Oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord

Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
I’ve seen your face before my friend
But I don’t know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did
I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off the grin, I know where you’ve been
It’s all been a pack of lies

And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord
I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life, Oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord
And I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life, Oh Lord, Oh Lord

Well I remember, I remember don’t worry
How could I ever forget, it’s the first time, the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no you don’t fool me
The hurt doesn’t show; but the pain still grows
It’s no stranger to you or me

And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord…

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

Just when I was getting over you
You appeared from out of nowhere
A little older and wiser
But I’m at pains to believe in you

I can’t imagine you’d remember me
You never did spend much time thinking about me
And time will not erase
Oh that memory
It won’t erase the memory

Cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to
You can cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to cry

You seem a little heavy round the eyes
Another line or two on that ageing forehead of yours
But you know just what to do
To reel me in
You always throw me back again

Cry if you want to don’t cry if you don’t want to
You can cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to
You can cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to

I blame me
I should have known much better than this
Cause inside I believe
Only for you

Cry if you want to don’t cry if you don’t want to
Cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to

You can cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to
Cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to

Cry if you want to don’t cry if you don’t want to

You can cry if you want to and don’t cry if you don’t want to
Cry if you want to don’t cry if you don’t want to cry

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

I’m a million miles from anywhere, where can I be
Somewhere out on the ocean
Just take a look out on the horizon, what can you see
There’s nothing there for me

I feel shipwrecked, I might as well be shipwrecked
I’m helpless and alone drifting out to sea
I can’t believe what you said to me

Even standing on the corner of a busy city street
I still feel so lonely
Why do you say you want to be with me
But the next day say you don’t

I’m shipwrecked, I might as well be shipwrecked
I’m helpless and alone drifting out to sea
I can’t believe what you said to me
Without you I feel shipwrecked
But I can’t let it show
A million miles away from anywhere, ooh, ooh, ohh

Is it my imagination
Or is it getting darker, are the waves getting higher
I’m a million miles from anywhere
A million miles from anything I know

You know that’s why I’m shipwrecked
I might as well be shipwrecked
I’m helpless and alone drifting out to sea
I can’t believe what you said to me
You know that’s why I’m shipwrecked, shipwrecked
Losing my direction
Please come and rescue me (shipwrecked)
Shipwrecked
Shipwrecked
Shipwrecked
Shipwrecked…

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

Making the most of it
Turning a light up and
Breaking the back of a
Killing the negative
Finding the faith isn’t
As much as I’d like it to be
Follow the path set by
Somebody else’s hand
Craving addiction and
Living in fear of me

But I don’t think that I can change
I’ve been feeling this way for so long now
And this feeling inside still remains
I aint gonna change
Aint gonna change

Bent on destruction I
Have no intention
Black into day into
Dark into Night I go
Blaming myself like I
I’m in control of it
I Turn it around for a
Just for the fun of it
Back to the start I go
I Wish I had learned from you

But I don’t think that I can change
I’ve been feeling this way for so long now
And this feeling inside still remains
I aint gonna change
Aint gonna change

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

She arrived so unexpectedly, with a thousand untold truths
Hidden in behind a smile, you couldn’t see through
And all those frown lines on her forehead
Disappeared before my eyes
She told me I’d arrived, just in time

And you could see it in her face
There was more than meets the eye
Something hidden all those years and hidden deep inside

So Goodbye Baby Blue
Goodbye Baby Blue
I spent so long thinking of you

She would lie awake, every night I’d hear her cry
Her mind in slow decay, I guess she couldn’t take goodbye

So Goodbye Baby Blue
Goodbye Baby Blue
It’s been so long, I’m thinking of you

So Goodbye Baby Blue
Goodbye Baby Blue
It’s been so long, I’m thinking of you

I’m thinking of you

Petite histoire racontée par Ray

Swing low in a dark glass hour
You turn and cower
See it turn to dust

Move on a stone dark night
We take to flight
Snowfall turns to rust

Seam in a fusing mine
Like a nursing rhyme
Fat man starts to fall

Year in a hostile place
I hear your face
Start to call

And if you think that I’ve been losing my way
That’s because I’m slightly blinded
And if you think that I don’t make too much sense
That’s because I’m broken minded
Don’t keep it…
Inside
If you believe it
Don’t keep it all inside

Strong words in a Ganges sky
I have to lie
Shadows move in pairs

Ring out from a bruised postcard
In the shooting yard
Looking through the tears

Out of the black slate time
We move in line
But never reach an end

Fall in a long stray town
As the ice comes down
Rivers start to bend

And if you think that I’ve been losing my way
That’s because I’m slightly blinded
And if you think that I don’t make too much sense
That’s because I’m broken minded
Don’t keep it…
Inside
If you believe it
Don’t keep it all inside

Lets all go down to the beach
Breathe in the air, take in the sun

Lie there trying not to notice
What goes on around you
Buried and unseen

I know it wasn’t done on purpose
It rests beneath the surface
Hidden from your view

Lets all stroll into the sea
Washing away the memories

Try to stop yourself from drowning all the fears surrounding
Everyone you meet
They know
They don’t know I think so
Heaven waits an answer
Prayers are seldom heard

I know it wasn’t done on purpose
It rests beneath the surface
Hidden from your view
They know
They don’t know I think so
Heaven waits an answer
Prayers are seldom heard

A little piece of something
Falling gently down down down
No one understands you like I do

I’d rather be beside you
Everything we know so well
Tell me what you feel now
Show me what you think of it

It’s not about us anymore
It’s all about the reasons
That we think we’re fighting for
It’s not about hate
It’s not about pain we always feel
I know we have our problems
But we’re not the only ones
It’s not about you it’s not about me
It’s not about anger
It’s more about the loneliness we feel

How can I begin to
Ask for some forgiveness
For all that we have taken
There’s nothing left now

Just a little piece of something
Falling gently down down down
No one understands you no no
Like I do
There’s nothing left now

It’s not about us anymore
It’s all about the reasons
That we think we’re fighting for
It’s not about hate
It’s not about pain we always feel
I know we have our problems
But we’re not the only ones
It’s not about you it’s not about me
It’s not about anger
It’s more about the loneliness we feel

It’s not about us
It’s not about hate
It’s more about the loneliness we feel, can you feel it
It’s not about anger
It’s not about wanting
I know we have our problems
But we’re not the only ones, we’re not the only ones
It’s not about you, it’s not about me…

Sarah, sweet Sarah, hold me so close to you
Reach out, no reason needed
You’re the one for me, Sarah
You’re the one for me
Like a dream come true, so beautiful
I will be with you forever
And if the nights grow cold, I’ll be there for you
Please don’t make me wait
People surround me, offers of sympathy
I just want to be left alone
Sarah, sweet Sarah, hold me so close to you
Take in all I say, listen carefully
Words I want you to remember
And if the nights grow cold, I’ll be there for you
Please don’t make me wait
People don’t make me wait
People surround me, offers of sympathy
I just want to be left alone
Sarah, I’ll miss you
I don’t regret all that we shared together
Everything I need, given to me

Here I am sitting at the airport
Waiting on a plane
Taking me to New York
Choking on my coffee
As a girl goes past
Only funny things seem to make me laugh

When I came I didn’t know that I’d be
Still here a week next Friday
The plane was late
Cause it’s raining outside
Someone stole the engines
And were going to have to glide

But I can’t sit here forever
Cause I want to go home
Never have I felt so bad
Maybe I’ll just take a cab
Cause I think I’m going mad
Went to the bar to buy myself a beer

Met up with a guy
Who’d arrived last year
Bought myself a whisky
And lit a cigarette
Said the more you seem to drink
Well the easier it gets

So I guess I’m trying to tell you
That if you’re going to fly
Get a set of wings
And kiss your ass goodbye
When you pack your case
Better pack yourself a bed
Cause if you had a wish
You’d be wishing you were dead

But I can’t sit here forever
Cause I want to go home
Never have I felt so bad
Maybe I’ll just take a cab
Cause I think I’m going mad
Went to the bar to buy myself a beer

La la la la !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

September ’77
Port Elizabeth weather fine
It was business as usual
In police room 619
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

When I try to sleep at night
I can only dream in red
The outside world is black and white
With only one colour dead
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

You can blow out a candle
But you can’t blow out a fire
Once the flames begin to catch
The wind will blow it higher
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

And the eyes of the world are
watching now
watching now

I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can beat them, just for one day
We can be heroes, just for one day

And you, you can be mean;
And I, I’ll drink all the time
‘Cause we’re lovers, and that is a fact
Yes we’re lovers, and that is that

Though nothing, will keep us together
We could steal time, just for one day
We can be heroes, for ever and ever
What d’you say?

I, I wish you could swim
Like the dolphins, like dolphins can swim
Though nothing, nothing will keep us together
We can beat them, for ever and ever
Oh we can be heroes, just for one day

I, I will be king
And you, you will be queen
Though nothing will drive them away
We can be heroes, just for one day
We can be us, just for one day

I, I can remember (I remember)
Standing, by the wall (by the wall)
And the guns, shot above our heads (over our heads)
And we kissed, as though nothing could fall (nothing could fall)
And the shame, was on the other side
Oh we can beat them, for ever and ever
Then we could be heroes, just for one day

We can be heroes
We can be heroes
We can be heroes
Just for one day
We can be heroes

We’re nothing, and nothing will help us
Maybe we’re lying, then you better not stay
But we could be safer, just for one day

Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh, just for one day

‘m a young man on the edge, with his head held in his hands
A look of desperation touching the fingers he hides behind
I lost my head and made a mess, showing signs of faithlessness
Having other people laughing at you is hard to take
You have all I have to give
You break me into many pieces
I was just beginning to forget
In my mind I’ve tried, can’t make sense of what it is
Wishing one day you could understand
Everything takes time
The thoughts I have, won’t leave me
You say you’ve heard it all before
You sit there like a wall I have to break through
Some drug I didn’t take to
You have all I have to give
You break me into many pieces
I was just beginning to forget
Should I feel anger, should I be patient
Do I belong here, do you have the answers
How long can I hold on
Do I belong, where do I belong
You have all I have to give
You break me into many pieces
I was just beginning to forget
Don’t laugh
Don’t make me
I was just beginning to forget
You have all I have to give
You break me into many pieces
I was just beginning to forget
